Maritime Education
The Maritime Museum was delighted to take part in the Life of Lake Superior Youth Program in the summer of 2006 for their Maritime Marvels field trip.
Over 75 children, ages 9-14, participated in a day filled with maritime history. The field trip included a visit to the DNR Fish Hatchery, the Maritime Museum and Lighthouse, the US Coast Guard Station Marquette, a visit to the Presque Isle Ore Dock and a painting session of the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse with artist in resident, Tom Woodruff.
The students and staff had a fun day learning about our rich maritime history.
